A MUST HAVE FOR BUILDING CONFIDENCE

She went from running away to catching pop flies

My 7 year old daughter was very scared of catching a ball and would often move out of the way and miss balls thrown right at her. This ball has the weight of a softball making it easier to catch than a tennis ball, but it is also soft enough to make her feel comfortable getting in front of it.

In less than a month she has gone from running away from direct throws to making angled catches and high thrown pop flies. It's hit the brick house and fence a few times with no damage — quality seems to be good.

Practice to game day, seamless

I recently started using Swax training softballs and they have quickly become an essential part of my practice routine. The first thing I noticed was their balance and weight, which closely mimic the feel of real softballs, making the transition from practice to game day seamless.

The soft, pliable material is fantastic for reducing the risk of injury, allowing for more aggressive training without worrying about painful impacts — especially great for younger players and those new to the sport. Durability is another highlight: these balls can withstand countless pitches, hits and drills without showing significant wear. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their softball skills.

I let her throw it at me to prove it didn't hurt

Buy these. I had some trouble with my daughter getting scared of the ball when catching and batting. I tried to get her over it and eventually decided to go this route. The ball is the correct size and weight to make things as realistic to the real thing as possible when throwing and catching.

I let her throw it as hard as she could at me without catching it, to prove it didn't hurt. I would actually let it hit me in the head at low speed with little to no pain. It also doesn't go very far when batted and has held up well so far. She did leave one out in the yard in the rain and it still seems fine, though I wouldn't make a habit of that since it's fabric.

No gloves needed

I have been looking for a replacement for a Ragball softball that I had for my classroom. These work great. You're not going to be hitting these out of the ball park, but it makes for a perfect game of softball, and the students can catch the ball without gloves and without fear of hurting themselves.

Quiet enough for indoor reps

Our daughter was terrified to get hit by a ball. Once she started playing catch with these she realized it doesn't hurt as bad as she expected. She also lies on the floor and does catch and hand-eye coordination exercises in the house, so these balls are perfect. They are very durable, easy to grip and not as loud as a regular softball.

It compresses on contact

Excellent training tool for teaching kids to catch. This ball has a similar weight to a real ball, but will compress when it makes contact so it feels softer to the touch. We used it for teaching the fundamentals of catching with a glove, and for pop ups.

They can tell when they hit it square

These are some of the strangest balls I've used for coaching, but it gives wonderful feedback to the kids. They can easily tell if they hit it square. I'm not sure how long they will last, but they've held up quite well so far.

A must have for beginners

Great for kids that are starting out and are scared of the ball. It still has the weight required for beginners. Easy to grip. The durability doesn't have any issues so long as it's not used in the street.

Love these. My kids play with these all the time in the house but also outside without gloves. Helps get them comfortable with catching without being afraid of the ball.

Warm-ups and BP without the bruises

These balls are great for warming up and taking BP before a game. We can throw them for some BP and not worry about getting hit hard.

Great for indoor play

These are great for indoor play. They are still a little firm, but that's necessary to have the correct weight. Good ball!
